First of all, congratulations for taking the time to research this topic. You’re either in a situation where you’ve run out of MLM prospects to contact because you’ve already gone through your list of friends and family members or you’ve come to realize that there must be a way to identify higher quality MLM prospects. In either case, the fact that you are still reading this article means that you are serious about your business and your future success. With that mindset, you will succeed.
By now you already realize that when searching for partners to join your business, you don’t want just anybody. You want to focus on finding QUALITY mlm prospects. If you only go after your friends and family, you are looking in the wrong place. Don’t get me wrong, friends and family are a great place to start, but for most people, that is not where you will find leaders to grow your organization.

If they show an interest in joining as an associate then of course share the information. Just don’t blast them with your opportunity up front.

Identify Your Ideal Prospect
Ask yourself these questions:
- What type of people are the top earners in your company?
- Who is most likely to feel passionate about your product or service?
- What type of person will have the best chance to succeed in your company?
- In what occupations are you most likely to find high quality prospects for your opportunity? If you have a health product, it might be personal trainers. If you have a technology product, it might be an engineer. You get the idea.
- What personality traits do you want them to have? Would you rather work with skeptical, negative friends and family, or motivated, open minded professionals?
Create a profile for the ideal person you want to work with, and write down those exact qualifications. This is who you are looking for!

Open Your Eyes and Look Around
There are PLENTY of high quality MLM prospects right under your nose. Take your list of qualifications and ask your friends and family if they know anyone who fits those requirements. People like realtors, small business owners, financial planners, mortgage brokers, other types of sales professionals, anyone accustomed to working for commissions. These people are already networking and connected to the type of quality MLM prospects you want. You will probably find that the top income earners in your company have come from similar backgrounds.
The main point here is don’t go after broke people who you think “need” a business opportunity. Go after successful people! Focus on quality MLM prospects that have the traits and characteristics you desire.
Make a list and start contacting those people. Tell them you are building an organization and are looking for a few sharp professionals to join your team. Ask them if they would be interested in a side project that won’t interfere with what they are currently doing?
Don’t try to close them into your business on first contact. Just ask them if they’re open to looking at some information.
